About this Bushgal

Selina Betts is a German-South African conservation scientist, southern African safari guide and walking trails guide. Alongside her wildlife adventures she is also a keen wildlife photographer and illustrator.

She was born and raised in Hong Kong, and has since lived all over the world including Germany, Australia, the US, South Africa, and the UK. Currently, she splits her time between her home in the UK and South Africa.

She first started out in the art world, where she worked as a toy designer after studying two fine art degrees (BFA) in Animation and Illustration, before changing careers into the world of wildlife conservation.

Fast forward to today, equipped with a BSc degree in Integrated Wildlife Conservation, and her safari guiding qualifications, she is living, breathing, and working in her dream field.
